Modern life is full of stresses, which for many people, can lead to a range of problems that interfere with daily life and create an underlying sense of being unsettled, unhappy and overwhelmed.

I specialise in helping men and women experiencing anxiety, stress and overwhelm to regain a sense of balance so they can get back to enjoying life. 

It's not so long ago I too struggled to meet the demands of life, work and raising a family. Increasing responsibilities led to more demands on my time and I often felt stressed and anxious without knowing what to do about it. Eventually the cracks started to show:

  • Poor sleep
  • Feeling anxious
  • Reduced effectiveness at work
  • Irritability
  • Feeling stressed all the time
  • Lack of quality time with people that mattered
  • No time for me

Eventually this leads to feeling unimportant and not valued and just wanting to shout " What about me" ?

I struggled on without any support so unfortunately the situation didn't end well. It took a long time to understand what had happened, and eventually, having therapy myself was hugely important in helping me to understand what was really going on and develop strategies to create a more fulfilling life. So now, even though life still has it's ups and downs, and the demands of work and life are different, I'm able to deal with them with a greater sense of perspective, always being mindful of self-care to ensure a sense of value and balance.

This is why I am now so passionate about helping people to understand what's really going on, to develop strategies and to resolve issues before irreversible damage is done.  

Of course we're all different and our experiences vary but often the underlying feelings are similar. By exploring how we feel, we can understand better what's happening and that's the first step to making changes. 

With over 30 years experience in the area of well-being and mental health, I believe a 'one size fits all' approach to therapy isn't necessarily the best, and I'm able to draw on a number of different approaches to create sessions that are tailor-made to you and your needs, so you can start to feel better and more in control. Working with you to help you make changes so you're not longer feeling stressed, anxious or overwhelmed. 

Since starting my private practice 7 years ago I have helped many men and women who, perhaps like you, reached the point of overwhelm without knowing what to do about it and realised they needed some help and support, if only to get a different perspective.  

With a range of flexible options available, together, we can work through your difficulties to enable you to make positive changes so you feel more settled, secure and happier, with a clearer sense of direction and control over your life. 

The practice is based in Hersham, Walton on Thames, Surrey within easy reach of Cobham, Esher, Epsom, Weybridge, Woking, Guildford, Kingston, Surbiton and surrounding areas.
